This subject provides an analysis of the different dimensions of the current Galician political system: its institutions (electoral system, parliament and government), the main actors (parties) and the different dimensions of the political behavior of citizens (electoral behavior and political culture).
In addition, the evolution of the characteristics of the model of the territorial structure of the State, and the autonomous system, and the institutional design of Galician autonomy in it will be treated in a special way.
It is also intended to provide knowledge of the basic concepts of political science applicable to the study of political systems.

In the lectures the content of the program is developed, sequenced in thematic blocks. To follow the explanations and integrate the various resources and materials (bibliography, documentation, etc.), students will be offered a basic outline at the beginning of the subject. In the interactive classes, various activities will be carried out aimed at acquiring skills and knowledge about the Galician political system. Regarding supervised work, tutorials and other autonomous tasks, the reading of articles, books or manuals that complement the lectures and interactive classes will be recommended. Likewise, the virtual classroom will be used. The teachers will make available to the students all the material used in the classes as well as any other material that they consider relevant to the subject.
The teachers, at the beginning of the subject, will develop other aspects related to the teaching methodology.
The evaluation system will consist of two parts. In the first place, the continuous evaluation that corresponds to the work related to the interactive classes (30%). Secondly, a final exam of the subject that will consist of correctly answering the selected questions from the topics (70%). The professors will expand the information on the specificities of the evaluation at the beginning of the course. In the second opportunity the evaluation will be identical.
In addition to class attendance, approximately 5 hours of weekly work.

Be permanently attending to the Teaching Guide and the virtual classroom. The teaching staff will publish in the virtual classroom a Teaching Guide for the follow-up of the subject. It is essential that all or students have it.
